Runan Duan

Master Research Assistant, TA

Runan Duan is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Heidelberg University’s Institute of Geography, specializing in geospatial data processing with a focus on LiDAR point clouds, 3D/4D geospatial analysis, and remote sensing. She holds a B.Sc. in Geography from Beijing Normal University.

Her research combines machine learning with geographic workflows to analyze 3D environmental data, leveraging tools like Python (PDAL, Open3D, PyTorch), GIS software, and cloud platforms such as Google Earth Engine and OpenStreetMap.
