Nick Mike Nötzel

About Me

Nick Mike Nötzel is an M.Sc. student in Data and Computer Science at Heidelberg University. He completed his B.Sc. in Computer Science at Heidelberg University with a bachelor’s thesis titled “Advancing the Development of Training Environments for the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Specialists”, focusing on automated virtualized environments for practical cybersecurity training. As part of his master’s studies, he completed an exchange semester at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He will write his master’s thesis with the Computing Systems Group on robust and efficient open-set segmentation under deployment constraints. Nick has teaching experience in several computer science courses at Heidelberg University, including Object-Oriented Programming for Scientific Computing and Practical Computer Science. He will also be a teaching assistant for Embedded Machine Learning and GPU Computing. His interests include cybersecurity, efficient machine learning, and teaching.
